Ageing resistance is more and more important in the leather industry. The requirements on ageing resistance of leather are getting tougher and tougher. Espescially the automotive industry requires leather with excellent heat and light properties. Therefor conventional fatliquors made from natural oils such as fishoil or rape oil are easy effected by oxygene or acids. Without special additives they are not good enough and cause yellowing, autoxidation of chrome(III) to chrome(VI) as well as rancidness (bad smell). When adding our Mollstab products to the fatliquor formulation or even to the recipe in the tannery we can improve these properties of the leather. Please contact us for information.
